Beginner web business
I have spent the last two years trying to break into the online business community. I have found over the past two years there are only two things that happen to a site. It either floats or it sinks. Its the sad and often harsh reality of the web. With the gimmicks and search engine refabs. The PPC solutions, banner ads, link exchanges. Where do you start? What does it take to make it in the business? Not just a site selling the latest and greatest eBook. But a site about your family dog. How does it get seen! The obvious answer is through the forum and blog communities. Pre-selling the site. Dropping the occasional link in a blog or e-mail. Using the link as a signature in your forum ID. Even putting it on your favorite social networking group will get you some traffic. But in the end it all comes down to one thing. MONEY! The more you have to spend on advertising the better off you are. If even a little to start with is enough to get things going and to see a difference. Do not give up. I have bought and sold numerous sites from high ranked hosting accounts to a niche site on goldfish. It doesn't matter what the topic is. The key is perseverance. |
